Animal cell based alternative proteins are becoming cheap
With product scalability will come some very cheap prices in the fake meat business, at least in the future. This level of cost savings is encouraging for a long term horizon investment approach. Stocks like Beyond Meat have already seen some peaks and major sell-offs as the scale is not yet there, but as more competitors enter the market and prices begin to be bargained down, the demand could surge.
