IPO and SPAC deals are booming, it's never been a better time to hit the public markets. We have seen 875 IPOs so far. That figure far outstrips the previous record set in the final months of the dotcom boom in 2000, when 592 companies raised public funds. Proceeds set a record $230bn this year, well above the previous peak of $80bn set in 2000 two thirds of which have been raised in the US. Reason for this is a renewed faith in public markets yielding positive results.
