Carbon tax in Europe is set to grow

Since January, Germany has introduced a de facto tax of €25 per tonne of carbon on petrol, diesel, heating oil and gas to keep discouraging the use of dirty energy. Most of Europe will soon adopt it, in the course of their goal to become the first emission-free continent. This tax is set to ramp up in the coming years as it is seen as a must to slow down pollution, but many fear that it might cast aside the poorer part of the population, who will live it as a more intense struggle.
