China imposes tariffs of 200% on Australian wine

As the graphic shows from October 2020, the Chinese use to import 30% of their wine from Australia. This figure has plummeted to A$12 million from A$325 million last year. These tariffs will exist for five years, too ! Duties on Treasury Wine Estates Ltd., the Australian winemaker best known for its Penfolds brand, were set at 175.6%.
