Credit card loans at commercial banks have steeply declined

Credit card loans have declined 1.3% to $746.89 billion. In December JPMorgan Chase boss Jamie Dimon said the bank had relaxed tightening on consumer loan underwritings as unemployment began to improve going into 2021. Card issuers like Visa and Mastercard have on the other hand said that spending remains restrained as the pandemic has hindered many households' spending. Source: MI
