Latin America tops the list of developing nations with highest debt levels

This is the world's worst hit region by the pandemic and it faces one of the hardest and slowest expected economic recoveries. Latin America as a whole houses 8% of the world's population and they have suffered more than a quarter of coronavirus deaths despite lockdowns in Peru and Argentina. Forecasted change in GDP until the end of 2021 is negative around -5%. Debt levels have surged. Source: FT
