Oil price hits a 2-year high - West reopening optimism offsets India & Taiwan covid setback

WTI crude oil futures settled at the highest in 2 years on Monday in a daily ramp that took the price out of 2-month consolidation under $65 per barrel.

Optimism that Western economies are reopening as exemplfied by the UK easing restrictions on Monday offset rising covid cases in India and Taiwan that are likely to setback oil demand in those regions.
