The chip shortage turns into a crisis
If the semiconductor shortage was previously hurting the automobile industry, today, the damages extend to a full scale crisis affecting consumers electronics as well. The issue is considered as the biggest shortage in years. Apple is worried about its iPhone production, Sony is worried about its new PS5, companies like Lenovo are also fearing for their production line. Huawei is also being blamed for hoarding components last year, and other manufacturers might do the same.
