The pandemic was the shortest recession in US history

While we are still suffering from the Covid-19 crisis, the National Bureau of Economics Research showed that the US entered a recession for only 2 months, between February 2020 and April 2020, with a peak unemployment of 14.8%. This is much shorter than many other recessions, with the longest one having lasted 18 months, or 9 times longer, following the subprimes. Source: NBER, US Bureau of Labor Statistics
