Things are looking grim for wallet manufacturers

On the graph below, you can see the sales of wallets and pouches by region. As you can see, the curve was on the rise before suddenly dropping in 2020. It seems that the wallet's slide into obsolescence was accelerated by the pandemic. Even before the pandemic, people were increasingly paying with digital means. Will wallets sell again or are we witnessing a definitive turn?
