The week ahead: Earnings season kick off, Coinbase IPO, Fed speakers and US inflation data

The Dow and S&P 500 start the week at record highs after a strong rally Friday.

The earnings reporting season gets underway in the week ahead. Several big financial firms report earnings including Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America.

This upcoming Tuesday, cryptocurrency exchange operator Coinbase goes public via direct listing.

The coming week is packed with Federal Reserve speakers and important data, including a much-anticipated inflation reading Tuesday, when the consumer price index is released. It will also be a busy week for Fed appearances.
