Books: the real object still beats its digital sibling

While many had predicted that we would soon abandon paper books, this seems to be an exaggeration. While it is true that we are reading more on e-readers and screens, these alternatives are still not match for real books. In the US for example, 23% of asked participants said they bought an e-book in the last year, and 45%, or almost double, said they had bought a paper book. Germany is the country with the highest gap between the two formats. Will e-books someday throw real books out of the market? Probably not, but they will most likely remain as a solid complement.
