#Bitcoin: nearing a breakout? #BTC #trading #crypto #ETH

Markets are steady this morning, ahead of the Fed interest rate decision and press conference. Bitcoin is forming what appears to be a descending triangular pattern with prices flirting with the top of the descending pattern. A move above around USD20'600, or taking out the highs from the last few sessions, would be very encouraging, from a technical perspective.

Bitcoin, which had been trading in a tight range has broken out on the upside from its descending channel. The positive move comes as the dollar is quickly losing steam and treasury yields have come down from their recent highs. Bitcoin is now facing technical resistance at around USD20'600.

The merge is meant to make the blockchain more environmentally friendly and energy efficient. Following the upgrade, Ethereum GPU miners will no longer be getting rewards for mining. The token is up 3.8% this morning.
